Christmas has come and gone. The New Year has started and a few resolutions have already failed -silly January Birthday always sneak up on me! Yet one constant is still constant in 2016…pretty fabrics and plenty of sewing projects. My oldest needed a new long sleeve shirts for the winter months that are upon us and I wanted a great pattern that I could whip out in an afternoon. I found it in Blaverry’s Finn Top.
Blaverry has very well written patterns with clean line drawings for each step. The PDF is formatted for layers so you only need to print the size, or sizes, you want. I love how she gives you magnified images of tight or tricky spots so you can better understand what you need to do. Blaverry patterns are right on trend with my tween!
The Finn Top is a great basic for any girls closet but the waterfall peplum gives it the bit of spunk that my daughter is looking for!! It is a pattern for knits which are not nearly as scary people think they are! I also adore the extra detail in the sleeves. The sleeves on the Finn are so fun. You can add a contrasting color to the cap, or to the sleeve, leave it a short sleeve or just play with the direction of your print like I did. My little lady is in love with her new top! We are giving you a few sneak peeks here because we have big plans for this top in a few weeks! Until then head over to Blaverry and pick out your next project. Then head to our SHOP and see all the new fabrics that have come in for the new year!
