Hello world! We are so excited to be a part of introducing y’all to one of Monaluna’s newest fabric collections – Wanderlust!
We adore Jennifer Moore, the woman behind the stunning organic poplins, lawns, double gauze, and broadcloths of Monaluna. She has a modern yet whimsical aesthetic that sets her designs apart from the crowd! Wanderlust is my favorite line yet! You can read about the road trip inspiration behind the line over on her blog, Monaluna. This week we have gathered together some amazing bloggers & sewist to help us show you the beauty of this line! We also have tons of prizes to giveaway, so be sure to enter. Here is a sneak peek of the eye candy that you will see all week long!
I want to start off by showing you a project that I have been working on. Monaluna sent me some amazing fabrics from Wanderlust. Today I am going to share 3 of my favorite prints with you, Feathers, Wild Horses, and Dusk.
These three prints together are a perfect combination of wild horizons, geometric movement, and the graceful ease of submitting yourself to the pull of wanderlust.
As soon as I saw them I knew that they would be for my middle little lady. She is such a free spirit of a child! She adores animals and truly has the kindness and ability to gain their trust and love quickly. For her top I cut the Feathers on the bias and used the Dusk to anchor the movement of the tunic.
The skirt of the tunic is gathered slightly to create a soft drape that mimics the movement of the Wild Horses. I love how there is a subtle pop of plum in this print. It is an unexpected yet beautiful color pairing.
If you have not yet had the opportunity to work with the amazing organic fabrics offered by Monaluna you are missing out on a rewarding and satisfy experience! The entire Wanderlust line is available, in poplin, in our shop! We also have a prints from Bloom, yet another amazing new line by Monaluna. We can’t wait till Friday when we show you the adorable outfit we made with fabrics from each line. Until then enter the Giveaways below and enjoy the tour!
