Hi, I’m Jill from JillyAtlanta. I want to start off by giving a big shout out to Gemia and Leah for asking me to participate in this tour. I have not used Monaluna’s fabric before so I did not really know what to expect. The feel and drape is exactly what I hoped it would be coming from a company dedicated to sustainability & comfort. Monaluna’s Wanderlust collection is… just INCREDIBLE! While Monaluna supplied the fabric for this post, all opinions and ideas are mine.
I had the pleasure to sew up my newest pattern, the Mae. This is such a sweet pattern with a unique bodice shape and soft gathered skirt. For the front bodice I wanted to showcase the Dusk poplin and I accented it with faux leather fringe. This is the centerpiece of the dress!! I chose the Feather poplin for the skirt. The scale of this print is perfect for a sweet, little dress. The beautiful blue hues of the delicate feathers is breathtaking—it just makes it a perfect choice!
I really loved how the two prints complemented each other so seamlessly. Just look those two fabrics together! The combination of these prints in the Mae dress begged for the stunning headpiece with a subtle pop of yellow. Add in a horse farm in Kentucky and you have the essence of everything that creates the desire for wanderlust.
I love the “wanderlust” feeling that the prints in this collection gives. They are perfect for that wild and free spirit that so many of us have.
If you have never worked with Monaluna organic fabrics before you must get your hands on them. They will be a favorite, believe me, with it gorgeous feel and lovely drape…you will have to have it! You can find the full line of Wanderlust in poplin in Phat Quarters Etsy shop.
Thank you Gemia & Leah for hosting this blog tour, bringing to light the amazing Monaluna, and for being just awesome!! If you have not taken the time to look through their fabric shop on Etsy, you are really missing out! Make sure to follow us all on IG, FB, and Twitter! Hope to see you there!!
